Ophir Hill Report with underground MAPS

Has anyone attempted to add things to this map? Like things that don't have names like "Crystal's Incline" etc? I would like to analize this map with someone sometime. Maybe I should spend some more time in the mine and then maybe it would make more sense. I am sure to a lot of you, things like the main entrance and the blue room and the "This Way Out" lake is obvious, but it still seems like it would be fun/cool/valuable to add those types of things. Like the "5 Barrel Stope Room" and the "Movie Bridge" (Obviously I made most of these up as I am sure you guys have different names for everything.) We could add color? Maybe add, I don't know, the newly found emergency exit! Just some thoughts. What do you guys think? I will be "trying" to do it on my own copy, but I really don't know what I am talking about, and I have barely spent any time in there, so far.

Also, what are peoples thoughts on bringing in a little pump and blow up raft? There are at least a couple places in there that I saw with Stuart that seemed like it could be worth bringing one in and checking out the other side? I really hope I could be invited if this ever were to happen! (I am trying to invite myself, like that?)

I know what you are saying Tobin. Yes we have thought about making our own little map with the names that we all know for the specific rooms, you were correct on all the names you mentioned. Next time I see you I will take some time and try to explain where everything is on the map to my understanding.

As for a raft, what are you doing this Saturday? I have a particular pond that I want to float in there nearby the raise to the emergency exit.

I don't think you would need to make an entire new map, just add and clarify to the current map to Mojave specs. That would be cool if you (or Mike) could take a sec to explain a few things on the map next time we get together.

So who has a raft? Are you talking about one of the ponds that we say last Saturday? I remember 2 specifically. One that Shawn and I were trying to check the depth with pipes, etc. The other pond had a big hill that we would have had to crawl down to get to the water. We weren't able to really see past that one, it had an over hang, or something. Both looked raft worthy for sure! You would have to say this Saturday! I would have to do some serious negotiation work to get to hang out for a third Saturday in a row. Joys of being married. Just come knock on my door on your way out there and ask Melissa if I can come out and play. Are you really thinking about getting a raft out this Saturday? What time would you be thinking?

Crystal says I cant raft anything until she is there too, so it looks like plain old exploring for this Saturday. I will be out there at 3:00, don't know when everyone else is heading out. When we do raft it, I want to cross the fizzy pond and see how far in the tailings pond goes until it goes under to the this way out pond.

I wish I could make it out this weekend but I have my son. If you do raft the ponds try and see if you can get a depth of the this way out pond and maybe try the glow stick thing we talked about. And if you try the fizzy pond just remember that movie where they was in a boat and the acid ate the boat before they got to the other side.

That's what you called it! That's right! Fizzy Pond. It doesn't look like my wife will budge on me this Saturday. So I don't mind that you have to wait on the rafting so I can be there as well.
