What are you talking about Mike? We were out last weekend! Why don't you make a trip report about our Pink Lime Pit activity?! Still pics from Roberto's Facebook.
We are starting to get some great exploration weather Joanne and we have some really fun stuff planned so I think things are going to get busy here very soon
I'll start posting some more TR's and pics now that the snow is melting in the higher elevations. Unfortunately I won't be getting out as much as I did last summer will all the commitments I have.
I understand that the weather is just starting to turn nice. Down here it's been quite variable with some warm weather followed by cold. Pretty soon it will be warm followed by HOT!
I was hoping to encourage some discussion and it seems to have....at least for the moment.
Lobster, myself, Brenda, Kris and Don went out last weekend to the Eureka area. I tried out a new video light I bought on E-BAy. It has 160 super bright white LEDs in it and light up the area when you walk along like it is day time. This light only cost me 69 bucks and shipping from China was free. I also tried my new (to me) Ikegami HL-43 camera and it works uber fantastic. This camera has one of the quietest CCD blocks I've yet used. At +18db gain there is almost no noise at all. At this gain setting I could film strictly by the light from just one candle so with all the output available from the new light I set the camera to 0db gain or the normal sunlight setting! This camera coupled with the new video light lets me shoot footage that you'd think was shot on a sound stage under controlled conditions.
Just been busy... I've had back to back trips/events that have had me running non-stop. I just got back from a 10 day central/Southern Utah trip, we spent some time inside the Lucky Strike Mine and were able to connect it back out the other side of the mountain. Looking forward to some weekends at home to get caught up on life.

Carved at the very bottom of that wooden frame above the shaft is an inscription about some one rapelling all the way to the bottom. Date and name is there. I got it on the video but it's somewhat faded and hard to make out! I wonder if it was Robert Cranny?
