Hi all,
My son and I were recently exploring a mine and found a vein of a shiny silver mineral that ran through much of the mine. Up until now I've simply wandered through the mines without giving much thought to the geology I was looking at. I've started picking up some "interesting rocks" but now I would like to learn a bit more about what I'm seeing.
I know that there are about a million books on the market but I don't want to waste my money buying poor quality books in the hopes of finding one that is really good. I'm pretty sure that some of the members here have their own collection of books, so what "rock hound" or mineral identification books would you recommend for a beginner like me?
Thanks in advance!!
Joanne
