So what's the story on this movie anyone know? Last I heard it's just about time for it to be out (Halloween 2009). Is it going to go straight to DVD?

From what I can tell, it hasn't been released. Either straight to DVD, or it flopped. I'm guessing it flopped. Which is too bad. But at least I got another ranking in my IMDB film credits!Tobin - K7TOB

The guy who produced it, Jeff Chamberlain was in my ward back home in CA. It was actually our family who told him about the War eagle mine. I could have my dad ask hime about it if he still lives back there. I have not lived in CA for a while so I am not sure if he still lives there. Let me know if there is any interest.
I know that my brother watched the pre release version. I am not sure if it is completely finished yet though.Comment

I do remember Jeff telling my he lived in Cali, so I would assume he's still there. I've talked to a couple other people who also watched the prerelease. Go ahead and see if you can figure anything out!Comment

We were just talking about this the other day. Since they missed Halloween it doesn't look good. However, they could always hold it until next year. I'd like to see it just to check out the Noonday and War Eagle mines.
Incidentally, I was contacted a few weeks ago by a producer/director with questions about filming in the Tecopa mines. We'll see if anything ever comes from it.

Jeff found a fansite for Alexa Vega (Don't ask me how or why... I don't even want to know!) and there are pictures from the filming of The Mine.
This is the War Eagle double track incline. They took some effort here and strung up a fair amount of lights.
This was shot one or two levels down in the double track incline from the eastern surface adit.
There are other pictures and some of them are probably from the Ophir Hill.

Had to dig this one up. Hit up a movie @ Jordan Commons with the misses tonight and was surprised to see a preview for "The Mine". IMDB shows it as the same one... guess its finally going to see the big screen?Kurt Williams
