Pot growing in Ophir canyon?

So I was just watching the news on ksl and I guess there was a huge marijuana growing operation up in Ophir canyon somewhere. I'll definately be carrying my .45 XD when I'm hiking around up there from now on.

so why does ksl.com's gps positioning map pinpoint this as the parking lot for the Ophir Hill??

Haha Google marks the center of Ophir as the Ophir Hill parking lot. ?Not sure why it does that. I've always thought it cool.

I think that was the smell coming from the shaft at the top of Crystals Incline What do you think John?

Was that area where the farm was?

I could be wrong here but the area was just a little east of the trail that goes from Ophir to the top of dry canyon so if that is the case the JC mines would have been within reach and mixed in with the airflow within the OH that is my theory anyway

When I first saw that story I recalled us at the top of Crystal's incline joking about that skunky smell being a nearby grow operation. Kim & I had a good laugh over that.
