Winter Already?

Well, for all us in Utah County, we understand that it is getting very cold out lately. Perhaps this is only a front moving through, but it brings me to the topic of winter activities. Mojave Underground is active 24/7, 365 days a year. Rain, Snow, Sleet, Hail, Sun, Cold, Hot, Dry, Humid, we are out. Now I prefer hot, sunny, and dry as my combo of choice, but alas, we cannot have everything we desire.
We hope everybody is planning on participating in events this winter. There is no reason to be getting Cabin Fever where the outdoors still exist, albeit they be covered in snow. Lets keep our participation levels up during these times. Make sure you have proper winter gear if you do plan on joining us. Thanks everyone!

Can't stand the winter. You guys are crazy. But what can ya do. Spring all for me. What kind of winter gear would I need?

I would suggest a good pair of boots and a warm parka. Gloves are nice also as long as they dont sacrifice dexterity.

If you plan on participating with overnight events, be preparted for temps at or under 0F. A lot of what we do is in the mountains. So I recommend a good sleeping bag, mat, some cooking gear usable over fire, and a good spirit. If done right, camping in winter can be just as enjoyable as summer.

Personaly I like all the seasons. Some more than others but I enjoy something out of each.
I love getting those sexy summer tans, the crisp mornings of fall, creating a handsome snowman or snowangel and
I love spring for it's warmth and preparing you for summer! Plus you get to see all the new baby animals. Soo Cute!

They all have their +'s and -'s so i dont really like to pick just one. As long as i can keep warm in the winter im great. I havent been out camping the winter for a few years now (been a few since i was in scouts) so i think that would be a lot of fun to get out there and enjoy the beautiful mountains we have here.

Winter is great for drifting in my car but what i hate about it the most is getting into a cold car early in the morning to go to work. Someday i'll have a heated garage!!!

Summer is still the best, but I do like fall alot. Late spring is nice too. I hate winter.

It's just interesting how its snowing a bit today, and we are going to get back up into the 80's next week. well that's Utah weather for ya
