    Mother Load

Just wondering if anyone has seen the 1982 movie "Mother Load" with Charlton Heston. This is the synopsys -

A couple of youngish adventurers go into the wilderness of British Columbia in search of a lost colleague. Their plane crashes and they find themselves at the mercy of a crazed old Scottish miner, who has lived in isolation for many decades searching the mountain caves for a chamber of long lost gold. He is prepared to do anything - including murder - to keep his gold for himself.

I saw it along time ago and I don't remember much about it. I'm not sure if it's still available or not to buy, but it would be a fun movie to watch sometime.

Haven't seen it, but I'd love to! Charlton Heston is a personal hero of mine, and so are mines.

Found it on VHS, apparently there is no DVD yet.

After further investigation it appears that this is a very beloved film by most who watch it. A large fan base has demanded that it be released on DVD, but to no avail. As a result of this being a somewhat "rare" movie, VHS tapes are selling for, get this: $27.99 used and $129.99 new. Can you believe that $27.99 for a USED VHS. Wow, now I really want to see this movie, anyone have a VCR anymore?

I think my parents still do. They are slow and old.

I have a VCR. I use it for converting vhs to dvd's.

I think I may have recorded all but the first 5 minutes of it off television and onto dvd. Let me check my archives to see if I can't loan it out. UR planning on attending the MU event this Saturday?

It is an awesome flick, with Chuck Heston playing two roles in it, and giving a wonderful definition of mining with a thick scottish brogue accent that by itself is worth the price of admission....Nick Mancuso and Kim Basinger give great performances as well.
