Memorial Day weekend mine exploring trip to Tecopa, CA

We're taking a trip Memorial Day weekend to explore the fabulous mines of Tecopa, CA. The plan is to arrive Thursday night and leave on Monday. We'll likely split into two groups with the vertical explorers going to more advanced mines while the other group explores the War Eagle and other horizontal mines. Camp will be just outside the War Eagle eastern portal.

Hey Mike. We have Grotto meeting tomorrow. I will send the word out and see if anyone from the caving groups want to go. I know they would love to ride the mine carts. At least I know I want to see it again.

I sure wish I could make this trip but I am having open heart surgery on 5-4 and don't think I'll recover that fast. Next year for sure. Please take lot's of pics & video and be safe.
