Eureka Photo Trip

We are planning another Eureka shoot saturday the 29th! Contact us if you want to come. We will start shooting around midnight. Please respond ASAP if you can make it.

Eureka is a wonderful town, however, there are shafts all over. We will be shooting mostly at Hell's Shaft. Operation station is old and has lots of machinery in it.

If you just want to tag along, feel free too.

So do you intend to go in the mine(s)? I noticed the equipment needed is just photo.

Not at this time. There are open mines in the immediate area but we are not planning on exploring any of them at this time. The portals around Hell's Shaft dig into the mountain about 500-600' and come to an end at an eleator shaft that will drop you what we believe to be 3500'. The exploration of the mines under the elevators have been on our mind since we discovered the portal, but for today, we are just photographing. Hence this Topic being posted under Photography and not under Mines. If you are interested in entering mines, check out the information under Mines and Caves. Also, please make sure you read the Rules and Regulations before you plan on exploring with us.

Well the Eureka trip passed with sucess. We were able to take some good photos and explore a lot of the town. Its a creepy place at one in the morning.
