MU FEBUARY EXPEDITION

Our group just did the Columbia #2 on our last trip to Tecopa. That doesn't mean we can't split in to multiple groups (which actually might not be a bad idea considering the number of people).

The lower levels of the Columbia are relatively straightforward to access. Getting there involves descending two ladderways. It can be done without ropes but I personally wouldn't recommend it. One is about 120 feet and the other is about 150 feet. From there, you have to navigate down through some stopes, ladders and levels that are a bit jumbled.

Figure it taking between eight and twelve hours.

Can we go yet? I'm sick of waiting!

I don't know who I'm riding with either, but is there someone who lives in/near orem who wouldn't mind picking me up at my house? I don't like the idea of leaving my car in the wal-mart parking lot since it has a sound system in it and would be a prime target for theft.

I just hope whoever I ride with doesn't mind me Snoring while I sleep for as much of the ride as I can.. Leaving my house by 3:45 in the morning is going to hurt HEHE

Quick Question. I've heard through the grape vine that if anyone leaves their vehicle in the Walmart Parking Lot it will be towed that day. I was wondering if anyone was planning to park there vehicle there and would it be better if we park at a park and ride? I know it's short notice, but I would hate for people to come back and no vehicle in the parking lot.

We've left cars there for multiple days with no incident. There are so many people in that area coming and going how is anyone going to know who's been there for awhile. I don't think anyone is leaving there car there anyways. . .

Also multiple venues there, all of whom share the parking space.

That's cool. My brother just had an experience where a car got towed. Was just curious. I am heading over there. If anyone get's bored and wants to visit me tonight, I will be the one in the train looking vehicles.

That was a great trip and our whole group really enjoyed meeting you guys (and gals) and exploring the mines.

We're looking forward to a future Tecopa trip and heading out to Utah at some point.
