Christmas Party December 13th

Mojave Underground is hosting a Christmas party and you are all invited!!

It will be held at the Tifie Ranch in Morgan, Utah.
This will be Saturday December 13th at 6pm.
It will be a potluck so bring your favorite dish!
(Give me a heads up on what you will be bringing, so we won't have 14 different cheese balls. Smile )
Entertainment will be provided as always.

The address is completely new. The easiest way to find directions is to use Google Earth or Google Maps and find directions to the exact coordinates of: 40°55'26.38"N 111°36'44.65"W

Mike will be taking a suburban up and is offering rides en route from Orem, through Heber, and up. His main meeting place will be the Exxon / Common Cents in North Orem and to help cover gas

Gift Exchange

wondering if everyone would be interested in doing a white elephant gift exchange? Say 10 or 20 dollar limit? Make it fun. If anyone plays the piano we could sing some christmas songs. If you have any ideas for the party or want to help, let me know.

Is there a way to add that to the info page for the christmas party? and is there a reminder that you can send out to everyone? Should be fun. It's supposed to snow. You can still get here no problem, it will just change which way you can come.

Tell Stu's mom that we have a Steinway & Sons Grand Piano. If you play, you know what that is. And if you ask me how much it cost, I might have to throw up. More than I am worth.

I'll make the change on meetup and the forums, and give everybody a reminder. There were a few other things I needed to change anyways. I'm excited! Can't wait!

I've decided for the Christmas Party I am going to cook Dutch Oven Ribs. I will start cooking them about 8:00 in the morning so they will be slow roasting all day (now because of the cold I actually have to cook them in a crockpot, but they are still great!). So what we will need is side dishes to go along with the ribs. If some one wants to bring potatoes up, and maye some topping that would great. Maybe a salad of some sort too. I have drinks already, so don't worry about that.

Don't forget your white elephant gift, and of course if you have not RSVP'd yet, please do so. If I show 20 people are coming and 30 show up, Mike is going to get a half a slice of 1/3 of a rib, he won't be too happy about that. So let's make him happy.

If you are interested in coming up early on Saturday, let me know. We can maybe do some sledding or cross country skiing (bring your own skiis). And I have lots of other stuff we can do.

Also. It's supposed to snow on saturday. If it is snowing I recommend going to Ogden route (North to Ogden, I-84 to Morgan, Morgan to the Ranch). We are only at 5500 feet and you gain very little elevation coming that direction. The roads are plowed and safe.

Worse case senario, it snows on us saturday night. We get snowed in. we have to play Xbox 360 all night. It will be tough, but we can do it. And I have more video footage of mines than I care to count, so if the worse case is really really really bad, even after "Mike sings Santa's Greatest Hits", we can keep our selves entertained and we have plenty of room.

Hope you all can make it. I know it's a bit of a drive but it will be worth it. We can tell some great stories about the good old days last week when we went exploring. Plus it would be great to meet all of you.
