Alright everyone, we have finally agreed on a date to pull the incline car the rest of the way out. On Saturday November 22nd at 9:00am we will be meeting up at the Ophir Hill mine, gearing up, and heading in for a day of hard work. Lunch will be provided. RSVP to either Mike or I ASAP.

This is a service project for the mine's owner, and will be done with his permission. Full safety gear will be required. (Hard Hat, Work Boots, etc.)

Sounds exciting, so is the approach brute strength or is there something up your sleve? I SHOULD be back that Friday but I am in DC and there is way too much excitement regarding the elecion that may cause delays for me. I will do everything I can to get back to help!

Love to have you back, Miah. The winch on your 4wheeler would be very useful. I think we are using brute strength, but I want your winch for the caved sections. Soo much safer.

It should only take 4 hours to get the cart out if we have a winch. Perhaps 6 without it. Look forward to getting as much help as possible from some strong backs!

So now I am a wench on a four wheeler huh! I see how it goes... I should be there, I will do my best to get back in time. Would LOVE to modify that flat cart to haul the incline cart out across the thousands of feet of clear track on a properly guaged trolley... Mabey if I can get back in time me and my welder can MacGyver something... Mabey you could separate the wheels from the wooden cart with the tank on it and set them aside for me....Hmmmm...

I should be able to make it that weekend, I will bring as much rigging and cable as I can. I also have a wheeler with a winch that I will bring with as well, I think it is smaller than Miah's so it might be able to fit in there easier. If anybody can think of any thing else let me know.

Looks like we should be there. I invited a few more of my mine friends. Wondering if anyone is camping out there the night before?

If I manage to get back to SLC the friday afternoon before I may just do that - me and my welder that is I need to try and build a haulage trolley out of found parts.

Camping sounds like a good idea. If I can get that day off than Stuart and I will defiantly camp out there.

Alright, looks like we are camping then. I assume it will be at our usual spot up the canyon. Do we want to all chip in and cook a dinner together or do we want to just do our own thing? Let me know what you all think so we can throw an "official" plan together.

Well I could swing either way. I won't have a ton of time Friday afternoon to get from the airport home, packed, to the store, and pick-up the welder, etc. so if I could jump on the communal dinner bandwagon and simply show-up with $10.00 towards it I would be fine. Or I could make soup from dead leaves and used flashlight batteries, whatever will work for you guys....

Alright Miah I'll do dinner, no need to prove your wilderness survival skills to us. Just let me know what you boys want to eat and I'll need an official head count by Wednesday.
