I think there may be more pictures in the actual magazine, but no newsstand has it yet. I imagine it might take them a couple weeks to get it distributed.

The fact that you guys were able to represent our hobby like this is very exciting! I never heard how this article came to be? Does this Alan Farnham or Zack O'Malley Greenburg have a personal interest in abandoned mines?

It looks like this was also featured in the November issue of Forbes magazine. Anyone have extras that they would sell?

Well, Alan Farnham a senior editor of Forbes magazine was outraged by the department of interior's report on abandoned mines, so he got to thinking and decided to see if there were others out there who actually want to preserve mines. Due to Mikes shrewd marketing skills, we have a very large presence online and Alan decided we were the ones to interview. After a few telephone conversations with us and an email from me convincing him that the Ophir Hill is a mine that he had to see. He flew in from New York and spent an entire Saturday with us, mike exploring, having a bbq with the group, and I even got to ride in his car with him and tell him about the history of the area.

The magazine issue has way more pictures and looks a lot better. Unfortunately we just mailed our last spare copy off to Crystals parents in Alaska. If you want I can bring one with us this Saturday for everyone to look at.

I am jealous! So Alan must have had an interest, or the opposite opinion prior to reading the report? I mean what made him outraged, any idea? I can understand why the report would make any of us here mad.

Alan shares an interest in preserving history. He also did not like the liberalistic manner in which the internal audit was written. They made then sound like mine fields; if you enter a mining site, you WILL die.

We are quite proud of the article. I'm currently working on getting us into a few more magazines.
