May Public Meeting
Hope everybody is ready for a great meeting. This is one you will not want to miss!!! This meeting is May 24th.
Chuck Aden will be giving our main presentation. He's one of the most expert minds on florescing minerals, and knows more about rocks and minerals than anybody else I know. He will be bringing a short, mid, and long wave UV light, so bring any rocks you want to check for fluorescing.
We'll also have an X-Ray spectrometer at the meeting, courtesy of Jon Madsen. An X-Ray spectrometer is a 'point-and-shoot' device that details the entire makeup of any rock or mineral, telling you what you have in it. Really cool!
Bring your favorite rocks and minerals to the meeting and prepare for an exciting evening.
