    New Guy here

Hello new guy Dave Huffman here from east central Illinois. My interest in mining goes back to the early 60's when my Great uncle owned a coal mine. I worked underground in 1980 at the Sunnyside mine near Silverton Co. I worked mainly on the main level track crew in the American tunnel but I sometimes worked up on F level. I liked it up there much better but I spent most of my time down on main level.
I would love to talk mines & mining. I sure miss working underground.

I haven't been to Silverton since I left in 1980 I am sure it has changed, There is a tour mine that is supposed to be pretty good. I think it is called the "Old Hundred Mine". I would head up towards Howardsville & then head up to Gladstone. Lots of mines in both directions
