    New In Clinton, Utah

    Hello everyone,
My good friend Dave told me about this site and so here I am! I grew up in Willard, Utah a small town about 60 miles north of Salt Lake City. In 1992 my oldest Brother Mike and myself went and did some exploring in the mountains east of Willard. We had heard of mines and such in the area...but we had no idea the bug that we would catch....and for the next 18 years we explored those mountains thoroughly. Finding new things in the Spring and Fall....and researching and uncovering the History in the Winter months at the U of U special archives....and many interviews with some of the older folks. A few years ago...Mike finally decided to publish a book about our research, discoveries and adventures. Something neither of us had ever done nor ever dreamed of. We enjoy the Utah deserts, and whenever Mike gets down this way (from currently Maryland) we plan a weekend excursion. Love the Green River/Moab Utah area. My main passion is rocks and lapidary, although I will explore any mine that cross my path. Good to be part of this forum, excited to learn alot of new things, and hopefully will add a little.
