    Howdy!

    Just figured id say hello. Im in northern Colorado and have been exploring mines for a number of years now. Everything from small tests shafts to large corporate mines. I look forward to looking around your forum and maybe meeting up sometime!

    Heres a couple pictures from one of the larger mines ive explored to wet your whistles lol

    Looks like you've been to some awesome places! Keep sharing the pics so we can "explore" Colorado with you - at least a virtual exploration!
    I'd say I'm fat and out of shape, but, "round" is a shape...

      Those look like some excellently preserved areas! Amazing if they still look like that to this day.

            The mines are as the photos show. Completely untouched and it was a very large commercial operation that closed down in 1982 or so. There is about 8 levels underground in the mill and the mine itself is inaccessible. The pictures are just of the mill itself which was completely underground. Heres some more pictures for you guys, they were taken last september. A little bit of picture overload but its worth looking at. If anyone wants to check the place out PM me, we can definitely set something up.

                Its in central colorado actually. about 2 hours from me. When will you be in CO? I need to get up there as i havent yet this year. Theres much more than just the mill too, up on top of the canyon theres a large company town that is also abandoned. Its quite the place!

                  I am not positive if I will be able to make it yet, but my family plans on wheeling in the Ouray area. Actually looks like it's over Labor day, Sep 2-6.
