    New member looking for adventure

    Hi,

    I found a Mojave Underground business card last weekend on a communication cable inside the Dirty Devil Mine. I'm excited to find your website. My wife and I love exploring and photographing ruins, and often do so on the way back from hiking, climbing and canyoneering expeditions in southern Utah. Unfortunately, she does not like entering old mines though...so I'm looking for knowledgeable partners who are more enthusiastic about this activity. I would love to attend the next mine exploration training session, or just join some trips with other members so I can meet some new people and learn how to explore mines safely.

    By the way, I tried to upload some images using the "add images to post" button, but received an error message. It looks like the linked website is down. Can anyone clue me in on how to post photos?

      Hi Josh,

      Welcome. You never know where you'll find a Mojave card or guest book! I've run into them several times. As for uploading pictures I use flickr. They will give you a free account with so much space and anything over that amount of space they charge for. I believe the unlimited upload cost is 29.95 a year and thats what I use. Each picture you upload has a link attached to it that makes use of the "Image" thingy in the above tool bar when you post a message.

          Thanks for the welcome, Mark. Do you mean that you just link to flickr in your posts, rather than including the photo in the post itself?

                          I found a Mojave Underground business card last weekend on a communication cable inside the Dirty Devil Mine.
                          Yep, I left a few in all the mines out there. The Dirty Devil is a good size mine with plenty of interesting things to see inside of it. Unfortunately the DOGM has decided it is not worth preserving and they plan to seal it up very soon.
