I tried this once before I feel like my wife with her new online college courses. I will try to hit the right buttons. Hello I am Larry from Beatty NV and I enjoy looking in old mines and mineral speciems. I live in an area that had lot of prospecting and mining at the turn of the century. I found with my self a lot of free time after working 25 years seven days a week. Looking for some one interested in discovering central / southern Nevada mines. I work off USGS maps and GPS or locations to start then spend the day hunting them down and finding what I can in the area. It is surprising what you can find in the desert. I use the NV Dept of Mines data base to find out what the mines were after and who if any one owns the mine. I have posted mine visits on facebook under Laurence S Gray open to all to see. Check my photos and see some very interesting spots. Thanks Larry

Beatty?!?! You have a lot of exploration opportunities up there! A few of us are planning to come up for Beatty Days later this fall. I'm also going to be coming through later next month on my way to a Teardrop Trailer / Dutch Oven gathering in Austin, NV. I'm hoping to spend some time in Goldfield and Tonopah with my camera on the way up there. I'll check out your facebook photos!
I've been kicking around and photographing mines for quit a while but am new to exploration.
Welcome!

My big 20" oven deserves it's own photo!
The oven is full of:
20 Pillsbury Grands biscuits
4 pounds of country sausage
5 dozen eggs
10 cups of gravy
We fed about 35 people (we didn't count) and the oven was empty in about 15 minutes.
This is a 22 pound turkey we did in a friend's 19" MACA (from SLC)
There's no end to the good food!
