    New guy!

    Hello everyone!

    Let me just start by saying, this site is simply a treasure of info!

    I spent a great deal of my youth exploring many of the places on this site with my father and uncle during the mid to late 70s.

    "What isn't grown...must be mined"!

          Welcome to the group! I sometimes wish I could go back in time to the '70's to explore sooooo many mines that are now closed. I look forward to hearing about mines you have explored.

                              Thank you all for the welcome!

                              A little about myself. I have worked as a contractor in maintenance for the mining industry from the time I turned 18 to the present.(I'm 41) I've worked at most of the modern copper/gold/etc, mines in UT,NV,ID,and WY. The first mine I worked at was in Mercur,UT. Modern mining is interesting...but I'm more interested in mining history!

                              Thank you Mojave Underground and all it's members for your wealth of information.
                              I hope I can join you all for one of your meet-ups.
