Hi Ryan! Our group is out of San Diego and we go to Calico fairly often. We still want to get into the Silver King and Red Cloud mines.

              Hi Ryan,
Welcome to Mojave Underground. I've got a few relatives who lived out the Victorville way. Really neat photos, especially the first one. I'll have to check out your myspace for photos. Whats your handle?

I haven't heard of the Oregon mine. We've explored all of the Bismark and Odessa mines along with the old Pacific Coast Borax mine east of town. We've also dropped into a few dozen other holes in the area but most are pretty small.

I'll have to do some research on the Big Horn mine.

Ahhh, so many mines, so little time!

Stu and I have discussed cloning ourselves to cover more ground in less time. You should look into the idea!

Various articles on hard rock mining primarily gold mining all in Los Angeles County to help preserve local mining history.

deffinatly make a trip to big horn. we had this map with us and it took 3 hours too explore the whole mine. the hike to it is also beautiful. the oregon is in odessa canyon so you may have already been in it. it is the one on the west bank with the tailings pile that stars out in lots of directions. it is also the mine that had the ore trestle across the canyon i believe although i cant say for sure where that trestle was. this is one of the entrances you may remember to oregon
