Hey, I found this site a few years ago but never really paid much attention to it until recently.
Here is a little bit about myself.
I am currently at BYU in Provo as a sophmore, but I am originally from Los Angeles area. I love caves and mines, I have been doing it for a while. Some of the mines I have been in are the War eagle mine, Delamar, calico area, and several others that I can't remember their names. I have a little easier schedule this semester so I have found that I have more time and am thinking of going out and exploring some of the mines in the area. I am also staying for the spring term so I will be here until June. I figured this would be a good place to find some people who like similar things.

So what are some good mines in the Provo area? I have looked into visiting Eureka and Ophir areas. Those seem to be the closest.

We just finished up a pretty intense exploration trip of the War Eagle this last weekend, Mike wrote a pretty good Trip Report on it. We go up to Ophir all the time, you should tag along with us.

How is the snow levels at those two mines? Is it passable? I have a 4wd 4 runner, but it is pretty much stock. Would I be able to make it through or should I wait until it gets warmer and it melts?
