Hey there, my name is Kevin and I have recently become very interested in abandoned mines as well as minerals. I just took my first trip to Calico with some friends yesterday with some success but mostly failure. Most of the mines we found had large metal gates that were unpassable and the mines we found that were not gated went back no more than 50 to 100 feet. It was still very enjoyable being in the desert for a day trip of mine hunting. Hope to get to know ya guys/girls and venture into some good mines with some excellent photograph and exploration potential.
