    Heading To Ely Area This Weekend!

    I know this is extremely short notice but Brenda and I are heading out to the Ely area later today... this will be our yearly trek out there to explore and do some serious rock hounding and exploring. We will be staying at the Historic Hotel Nevada in downtown Ely and if anyone cares to join up with us that would be fine, we usually are found having breakfast in the downstairs restaurant by 7:30 am. We will be visiting Belmont Mill (if it's still standing!), Hamilton Ghost Town, and several other mining areas... and possibly the enormous open pit mine around the west side of the mountain from Belmont Mill. As well as Garnet Hill to chisel out some nice garnets. Too much to see and do around there is a few days time but ya cram in what ya can...

      Well, I was about to send you a PM to see if you want to hit up the Scranton Mine on Sunday, but looks like you have alot of cool things too see in Nevada!! Have fun!
