    Ophir Hill Advanced Exploration 6/14/09

Thanks to everyone who came out on Sunday to explore some of the more advanced areas of the Ophir Hill with us! I know that everyone in my group had a blast and got to see some areas that no one has seen in many many years. I'm opening this thread up to pictures and stories from the other groups and the adventures they had.

Here are some of the pictures I took:

I'm pretty bummed, I left my camera sitting on the seat of my truck when I packed up... so I took absolutely zero pics. So if you were in Mike's group, post your pics!

This was one of the funner mine trips I've ever been on. We made some neat connections, saw some very neat formations and areas of the mine completely new to me. Thanks again to the Mojave crew for the opportunity.

Now, I still want to play paintball or 'capture the flag' inside of the mine now that I know a few of the connections better

I was trying to get over and say hello before we entered the mine but by the time I got my pack loaded we were headed into the mine, by the time we got out you guys were gone, next time!

I am a ham, KE7FYQ. I don't use it too much, mostly just with other folks out on the trails but from time to time I fire it up around town and chat.

When I get home tonight, I'll use the link that Fish shot me last time to upload the shots I took. Hopefully that will work and someone can put them with the others in the advanced trip section.

Now could someone post them up?

That is awesome. Looks like you recently passed the test. I wish more people would go for the better quality of ham radios. That is how I mostly use it is for wheeling as well. All my family is into wheeling and ham radios.

BTW, this trip was another amazing, successful trip underground! No problems or injuries. Brought home some neat mineral samples and a few sides of explosive boxes that had legible writing. Anyone know the best way to clean things like that but preserve them at the same time?

I got my ticket Dec 05', so while not super new, a little new.

I guess that makes sense since I passed the test in 2002 and I am KD7PXV. I will have to add you my elite list. (If its okay with you of course)
