advice on good mines to visit near Las Vegas?

    Hi all, Chris from abandonedmines.net,

I am here in Las Vegas setting up some fireworks and I have some free time during the daylight hours. Can any of you suggest any mines within an hour or two of Vegas that I can visit? The more interesting the better!

    Thanks!!

I'm here in Vegas too (I live here). I'd suggest the Sultan mine. Here's a link to my photos: Sultan Mine Photos

Delamar is an interesting place. It might be too far from vegas for you though. I can't remember, I have not been there in a while.

Delmar is up near Caliente... I've not been to Delmar but have driven past the cutoff (unknowingly) many times. I did find it on Google Earth... 37°27'52.95"N 114°45'54.31"W
