    Watch your back!!

I was out in the mouth of Ophir canyon more to the north side I was out looking at some diggings when I could here some noise in the trees, I didnt think much of it at first I usualy run into deer and elk in the area. I started to walk around some more and I could here the trees moving again this time in a diffrent tree, now I'm thinking that someone is watching me. I start to head over where the noise came from about 100 feet away, at about 50 feet away from the noise I stopped and then I could see what was making the noise. Keep in mind I'm about 100 yards away from my four wheeler, what was making the noise was a large cougar!! It came out of the bushes stopped and looked at me then ran off in the direction of my wheeler. Ok I have my gun out and now I'm shaking so bad I dont know if I could hit anything I aimed at, and I also have to go the same direction that the cougar ran off. It was the longest 100yard walk I have ever had wondering if I was going to chewed on but I made it to the wheeler. Its a bad feeling to be the hunted instead of the hunter.
I dont know how long the cougar was stalking me but I dont care to be in that situation again any time soon. So if your out in that area keep your eyes and ears open espicialy if you have children with you and keep a firearm close by.

Wow, this is not the first time I have heard of a cougar stalking someone in the Ophir/Dry Canyon area. That is one big testament to the obvious reasons for carrying a gun!

Leo probably hired it to keep tabs on whats going on in the more rugged, remote areas
