Mines in Provo Canyon

I've been searching for mines in Provo Canyon now for around five years, and have found nothing. We went looking for a bit today and again, no sucess. Mining activity did occur in the canyon, and there are several mines that are wide open.

Does anybody have any information on these, or an approximation location to their whereabouts?

I think there are two that I know of. There is one right by bridal veil along the paved trail, but it's sealed off with a huge metal door. The other one is by vivian park on the hillside above the paved trail. That probably doesn't help, but that's all I've seen.

I was aware of the one at bridal veil, but not the one near vivian. I'll go search for it. Do you know about how far from vivian it is?
