Dugway Range / Four Metals Mine

Heading to the Four Metals Mine area this weekend. My wife hasn't been there in 20 years. My last trip there, 14 years ago. Probably not a lot left. We plan to hit the Rose, the Rainbow, Kellys Hole, the School bus, and what ever else. I'll post pics of what is left. 20 years ago the shacks at the Four Metals, Rainbow and Kellys Hole where still standing.
We do it underground and under water.

There is(was) an old school bus on the north end of the Dugway Range. South of the Rainbow on a side road. There is also a tall adit about 15 feet deep there.
There is another school bus on the Thomas Range up on the side of the hill.
And there is another school bus some where else out west. So many places so many years ago.
We do it underground and under water.

Gotcha, familiar with a couple of those buses (two of them at Wilson Health Hot Springs near Fish Lake too), thought you were referring to a mine called the 'School Bus'

Well, i dont think id expect them still standing nowadays. Not with all the vandalism and scrapping thats going on. Years ago when people had some sort of common sense then yes, but nowadays, no.

The wooden headframe over the 4 Metals was still there as of May 2013 when I visited there.

Hey Danb, how was this trip? Did you end up checking out and getting an update on the area?

Yes we did. I forgot to post. We spent most of the time on the ATV. Camped at the Four Metals Mine. It hasn’t changed since the last time I was there about 1999. The shack at the Rainbow mine has collapsed. The log cabin between Four Metals and Rainbow is still standing.

The green cabin in Kelly’s Hole is still standing.
