I am working on getting all the mine names I'll post them if interested.
I'm curious how you're going to find out the names of the mines. We have an old hardrock mine on some property and would like to know more about it. It's also in Butte County. Cool pics, thanks for sharing.
Oh ya almost forgot to update the names. As for locating them I used http://www.minecache.com/index/. Its a software that hooks into google earth and shows mine names; What type of mines they are and current as well as old claims. Its a 7 day trial but you have full access to everything for those 7 days + you can save the mine locations and names you want.
Also I found some really good books online with information on a lot of the mines in California that even date back to the 1890s.
