Old Skoro Mine camp

This is from the old Skoro mine camp back in the 50's. It was built on an old dump at the base of the canyon. The dump was from the Sullivans mining property but was built by the Skoro mine.
The deer is Bambi. She (yes she) was our pet deer. Notice the bell? She wore a bell so no one would shoot her. We didnt tame her. Previous people had done that but we did enjoy her.

Very cool! What were they mining there? When I was younger I ran into a deer that had been domesticated outside of Ely NV, he would eat right out of your hands.
