    Honerine Mine - Stockton, Utah

    Anyone know anything about the Honerine mine? Is it open? Is it worthwhile from a rockhounding/exploration point of view? I just read about the unfortunate soul who feel 400 to 600 feet down a shaft there. Anyway was just thinking about visiting and seeing what's left.

      As of last year it was still open. There are numerous rock falls in the mine. To be honest, it's actually a very boring mine. There is not much to see and as far as rock hounding goes, I've never found a good place to collect specimens in the Honerine.
