    Ophir days?

Anybody going to Ophir Days this year? I believe its the first Saturday of August which would be on the 6th of August this year. I'm planning on going and was wondering if anyone has plans to go or do a little mine exploration that weekend.

I'll be there for a little bit. Not sure what my mine exploration plans will be though.

      Ophir Days

Keep me in mind. I would love to meet up and possibly check out the Ophir Hill mine some more if it's possible or even the Buffalo if we can get access.

Think this would be a family activity, or would there be a good chance of going into a mine while we are out in the area?

Sounds like a good time and I might be free that day. Anyone interested in camping Friday night, exploring a mine or two that night and then the festivities on Saturday?

            Ophir days

I'm interested in camping. Exploring some mines and having a couple of cold ones afterwards. Then we'll be in a good position to hit the free breakfast the town has in the morning.

Free breakfast huh? I might attend depending on info I receive from Idaho BLM. Camping and a mine sounds good. Camping location and mine (Buffalo)?

Researching placer mines in Idaho I found a claim that has not been maintained for a year. If the BLM adjudicator concurs, I will be spending that weekend hiking to place 12 corner markers to mark 2 claims totaling 170 Acres. Isn’t mining fun….

We do it underground and under water.

Dan I know how it is to stake out claims, Crystal and I just staked out and marked 3,336 acres last week. We ended up putting in well over 500 corners and monuments. Good luck hopefully you can get it staked out, Idaho is a great place for placer.
