    Mining impact on Federal Shutdown?

Just wondering what everybody's thoughts are on the federal shutdown that may happen, and it's impact on mines.

Perhaps this is a great time to organize large trips? Will the BLM still be working?

I don't know much about the shutdown at all, but it sounds like a tasty little treat of mild anarchy.

    Fed shut down

Essential units will not be shut down, non-essential will be shut down- that said:

So BLM is classified as non-essential, however, Law Enforcement is not, so BLM cops could still be out.

    other agencies of interest:
    Army - Essential
    NSA - Essential
    CIA - Essential
    NGA - Essential
    DOE - Essential
    State Dept. - Non-essential
    FBI - Non-essential
    DEA - Essential
    DIA - Essential

No such luck - the government will continue at full pace! News stories are contradicting in regards to how long this extension is for, but we'll see.
