    Danger Cave

    Hi guys,

I read about there being a Danger Cave near the Salt Lake in an archaeological book where there were lots of cool Indian stuff found. Has anyone ever gotten to see it or can tell anything about it? Much appreciated.

Ah Danger Cave, yes it right out near Wendover. I have been to the entrance, but never inside. Last time I was out there it was gated, I believe Robert took a group out there a couple weeks ago. He should know all about the cave.

Danger Cave is owned by the State of Utah, it was intended to be a State Park but it never came to full fruition due to lack of funds. Public tours are offered on a regular basis and I'm told they can be arranged as well. We've discussed it on ExpeditionUtah a few times but we've never hammered out a date to go out. There are several other caves in the immediate area Limestone Cave & Indian Cave come to mind.

You drive right by Danger and Jukebox when taking the first Wendover exit. They are monitored by cameras on the top of the opposite hill. Caves arent shown on maps thanks to the BLM, they are too precious and the Cave Protection act mandates that they be kept secret from the public.
