First off, this is my first post and I haven't introduced myself in the introductions forum so I thought I'd kill two birds with one stone.
Hello everyone, great site you guys have with lots of info and pictures. I'm Chris from Provo and I stumbled onto this site
while googling places to explore in Utah. Anyway, a couple of weekends ago I went out to the Tekoi missile test range out in Utah's
west desert (about 10 miles north of Dugway Proving Grounds). In all my internet searching I never came across this place and
found out about it from my wife's co-worker.
The test range was apparently abandoned in the late 80s and is still relatively intact. The pictures will speak for themselves, but when
the site was abandoned, they (ATK I believe) left a lot intact. There is a gate with a small guard shack that marks the entrance, but no
lock on the gate or any no trespassing signs.
There are about a dozen above ground buildings, and 5 or 6 bunkers. Everything was accessible except the guard shack - which still had name tags
hanging on a bulletin board and locks on a row of lockers. I spent about 3 hours exploring and while I saw the whole complex, I'd still like to go back
and do some more detailed exploring.
