Nothing beats a free Saturday. On my way into Vernal three weeks ago, some offroading trails and landscape caught my eye. Since then, I've been wanting to explore the areas and see if there are neat sights. Today I finally got a chance to. We hit the trails around ten this morning and started exploring the vast and desolate desert terrace. I drove atop a large cliff and to overlook the area. From my high up precipice, the vast landscape drew itself for miles upon miles. The Green River rolled lazily through cutting the land wherever it went. Offroading trails wandered aimlessly as far as could see.
After driving for almost and hour, we came upon a very interesting rock formation. Fortress Rock I called it. It stood out from everything else around it. It was not far from Vernal but the roads we took placed it a while away. It can be found at 40°21'36.88"N 109°36'28.71"W. We climbed around on it for a while and moved on.
Didn't find much else but again, nothing beats a Satuday Offroading.
