Cedar Mountains
The Cedar Mountains Tooele County, Utah
The dirt road/double track is in fairly good condition and it forks near these old broken down buildings and debris. If you get an early enough start, take the fork to either side and loop back. Bring a good map (USGS - Tooele) and you shouldn't have a problem finding your way. There are many mines in the area as well as some active claims that are well posted.

Up on top of the ridge the views are incredible. The snowcapped peaks across Skull Valley are the Stansburys. You can see the Deseret Peak Wilderness area in the first shot followed by a view looking south along the Cedars, and finally, a successive view of the Cedars, Stansburys, Oquirrhs, and the mighty Wasatch (which are very faint but visible). The road to the mountains are often travelled by cattle, use caution, especially when driving at night.
