Provo Canyon Pipeline
The Provo Canyon Pipeline Tunnel is a small tunnel at the mouth of Provo Canyon. It was blasted long ago and a large pipe was eventually placed inside the tunnel to provide a secure means of transporting the water to Provo. The entrance to the tunnel had been closed up, but recently has again been uncovered to allow entrance.
The Rick Jorgenson Legend
Legend has it that a man by the name of Rick Jorgenson raped and killed a middle aged woman by the name of Stella Anderson inside the tunnel back in the 1980s. Her body was not found for years, until a small group of explorers happened upon her bones and reported them to the local police. By that time, Rick had left the area, and could not be found.

The tunnel is fairly short both in distance and height, but makes for a quick adventure if looking for a local place to get underground. Recommend parking in the canyon trailhead parking lot, near the gas station.
