My family and I are going to be heading down to the Lake Powell area to do some wheeling from the 11th to the 15th. We will be staying on our houseboat in the slip at Bullfrog Marina each night. I was wondering if anybody had any suggestions on what trails might be fun while we are down there. We don't have any solid plans since we don't know what kind of snow we will run into.
I of course would like to wheel to areas that have some good abandoned mines and/or ghost towns. Preferably medium to difficult terrain, but we will have a good amount of rigs, most of which are only mildly modified.
Unfortunately the Lake Powell ferry apparently is no longer taking school kids across Bullfrog Bay so they are closed for the winter. We took that last year which saved us about an hour and a half. We will most likely be heading that direction one of the days.
